A POOL of TEARS
The Long and Winding Road of life is filled with straight-aways and sharp curves, bumps and smooth sailing.
It is full of happiness and sadness, trial and tribulation, success and failure.
The one certainty is life goes on. As wisdom dictates, it always leads me back to where I feel safe and secure.
I know this because I’ve seen that road before.
It’s in those stormy times we learn the most about ourselves, we learn through our painful experience.
The hurricane is a relevant analogy;
the pouring rain soaks the ground unearthing the weakest aspects of life .
The strong winds blow them away leaving only our most well rooted principles, leaving us to look “ what the wind blew in.”
Even though the ballad is my favorite Beatles love tune, I can’t help relate it to the passion of life.
The fear and loneliness of failure, the uncertainty and insecurity of what tomorrow will bring.
Still I cannot help to look forward to another rising sun for another opportunity for another chance at another day.
