I know the way out

I know the way out
This guy is walking down the street; falls into a hole.
The walls are so deep and the hole is so steep
he can't claw his way out. He begins shouting,
"hey is there anybody there, I need help!"

About then a priest happens by, peers into the hole,
" My son" he says "what has happened?"
You see father I was minding my own business
and before I knew it I fell into this hole...

no matter how hard I scratch and claw
it only makes things worse.
The cleryman pauses, writes out a prayer,
drops in the hole and says"
God bless you my son" then goes on his way.

After a short while our guy begins
shouting for help once more
when a doctor happens by.

" Hey Doc, I seem to have fallen
and can't get up"! Without hesitation
he whips out his P-pad, writes out
a script and drops it in the hole.

" This should help, call my office
for a follow up as he hurries on his way.

Finally a friend stops, looks down and says
" Hey man; you okay? Our guy replies:
I just can't seem to get out of this hole I'm in.

The friend tells him to step back
and proceeds to jump into the hole.

Our guy: stunned and dismayed
looks at him and says
"Okay; whadda ya stupid,
now where both stuck down here.

The friend turns, softly grins,
then calmly brushes himself off
& says " yeah, ya see,
I've been down here before
I know the way out.

When your in the hole alone
you find the truth in friendship...

To be, or not to be: that is the question:

Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action. - Soft you now!

You know your an
over achiever if you
put yourself out of work.

After a tough day
I'll sit at the bar,
have a beer, and re-evaluate

After a good day
I'll have two beers;
One to enjoy success,

are looking for change;

O CAPTAIN! my Captain! our fearful trip is done;

The Three Mouse O' Tears

This is a modification of the story
from "Catch Me if You Can"...

There were these three farm mice
living well for many years.
Then times got tough on the farm.

As the story goes,
while they were searching for food
they happened upon an urn
half full of cream.

Being as hungry as they were,
and try as they may
they just couldn't reach the cream.

The pessimist mouse,
being lactose intolerant,
decided it wasn't worth the effort
and suggested they continue searching.

The optimist mouse,
having a dairy fetish,
wasn't quite so willing
and suggested the other mice
hang on a moment
while leaned in to
wet his whistle on the prize.

The pragmatist mouse pondered,
concluded it was too risky
but only warned of the danger.

Being the optimist mouse
a excellent swimmer
the pragmatist mouse acquiesced,
none the less
going on the record
by shaking his head in disapproval.

As it goes the mouse
fell into the cream
and could only stay
afloat for so long.

As the optimist was going down
for the third time
the pragmatic mouse suddenly
jumped into the urn of cream.

He shouted to the exhausted optimist
Run...Run...Run.

Before long the cream in the urn
was churned to butter
and they simply stepped out.

The Road Not Taken .

Immortal

As I watch this video,
I cannot help but think how many Americans
share the same sense of helplessness,
vulnerability, and exposure as Amy Lee portrays.

The Video “My Immortal " delves
into the grieving process.
The loss of being with one through life,
the loss of feeling secure,
and the loss of feeling fulfillment
ultimately leave us naked up a tree.

So goes the nation and its
relationship with Americans.
Sunday has become the day when
the Treasury Department has chose
to hold mass in its latest attempt
to appease the masses.

Although the tactic of giving the markets
a day to absorb the news
prior to the workweek eliminates
initial reaction and volatility,
the message resounds as if in
the hallow grounds of a church.

I believe Albert Pine summed
it up best when he said,“
What we have done for ourselves alone
dies with us; what we have done for others
and the world remains and is immortal.

”I‘d like to acknowledge the
present administration for allowing
me to see the downside
of the gravity of this quote.

The damage this administration has
created indeed appears to be immortal.

To paraphrase the message
of the band Evanescence,“
your presence still lingers here
and it won’t leave me alone,
these wounds won’t seem to heal,
this pain is just too real,
there’s just too much that time cannot erase

…and though you’re still with me
I’ve been alone all along.

”As I watch my favorite video,
I cannot help but think
how many Americans share
the same sense of helplessness,
vulnerability, and exposure.
The feeling of being alone,
insecure and unfulfilled should
not be what dies with us.

Take a page from our leaders in D.C.
to lift our nation from the throws of being
“suppressed by all our childish fears,
so if you have to leave,
I wish that you would just leave.”
